Description:
A leader in the
Coffee Industry with a Foundational arm is seeking to hire a Monitoring and
Evaluation Officer for the foundation, based locally in Uganda.
Job Summary
Support
Monitoring and Learning activities at the country level; to ensure impact
programs and activities at country level to meet its objectives; ensuring
reporting information is in line with the expectations of the organization and
related business; and that activities are delivered in a timely and coordinated
fashion
Responsibilities
Program Planning,
Implementation and quality assurance
- Support
in development of program work-plans and budgets with periodic review in a
timely and effective way
- Accountable
for timely and effective reporting of project and program activities
- Responsible
for planning, implementation and quality assurance of projects and program
activities
Monitoring, Evaluation
and Learning
- Closely
monitor performance of projects and programs and, make recommendations for
decision making using appropriate means and methods that support
continuous improvement
- Coordinate,
organize and formulate required narrative and financial reports in
accordance with project, and organizational requirements
- Continuously
assess risks that relate to project and program implementation and
recommend mitigation measures
- Provide
information and data on a timely basis as may be required
- Establish,
manage and maintain a database of all project and program documents and
reports
- Support
all monitoring and learning activities
- Undertake
regular field visits to verify and triangulate reported findings;
- Disseminate
top recommendations and key leanings as may be required
- Support
in-country program governance mechanisms including scheduling project
implementation committee
- Lead
the development and dissemination of program communication materials
- Any
other activities as may be assigned by supervisor and/or management.
Qualification:
- University
qualification in a relevant area such as project management, economics,
statistics, development studies, or any other relevant subject.
Minimum Experience:
- At
least 5 years’ experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation with
particular emphasis for private enterprises;
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge
of evaluation concepts and procedures, particularly in the monitoring and
evaluation of business related enterprises;
- Strong
experience and skills in research, data collection, analysis, and
management;
- Strong
monitoring and reporting skills with excellent knowledge and experience in
project management;
- Excellent
communication skills-oral and written
- Ability
to manage multiple demands and prioritize tasks, work effectively and
collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and support other team members
as needed;
- Ability
to understand the data needs of a broad range of users;
